How to create a customer statement in Sage Instant Accounts

To create a statement for one of your customers in Sage Instant Accounts, assuming that all your customer invoices have already been entered in Sage, go to your Customers module and highlight the required customer.Then click on the Statement icon at the top of the screen.

A new window will appear like this where you can select the statement layout you wish to use.

Select whichever statement layout you wish to use - you may use Sage stationery or you might have set up your own statement template.

 

It is usually best to select the Preview option and then click on Generate Report - this is so that you can view the statement before saving it. A window will appear asking you to select the dates you want the statement to run for:

Enter the criteria you require for your statement and click OK. The statement will then be displayed.

 

Assuming you are happy with the statement that has been produced, click on the Export option at the top of the screen and save the statement on your computer.  It is customary to save this type of document as a pdf so that it can be emailed to your customer. Enter a file name and click on the dropdown option to select 'Save as pdf'.

If you want to print your statement, click on the Print option at the top of the screen.
