AvaPA connects to it's database using a *.udl file which it reads. This file is copied from a shared folder normally called [update] on the server. After the client install completes, the first time AvaPA runs, it will pause at the update utility. This allows the update module to be pointed at the update folder and causes the connection file (and any updates) to be copied to the client machine.
This is why it is important to browse for the update folder rather than just clicking "run Ava". If you have just clicked "run Ava" you can reset the update utility by clicking on the Windows [Start] button, go to [Programs], then [Ava PA] install folder, then [Setup Auto update].
