If you have read elsewhere of my increasing disillusionment with Sony: I now feel they are an overpriced supplier of low quality PCs. I'll never buy Sony again. It's probably not a surprise that I have found yet another area where Sony is sub standard compared to the other (significantly less expensive) laptops we have. Whereas the Toshibas, Dells and HPs connect to an external monitor and immediately remember their settings the Sony requires a trawl through the hardware settings each and every time...
